Yes. When you screw down the air hose on the valve stem, the pin inside presses the pin inside the valve stem open to let the tire inflate from the Cordless Tire Inflator. When you unscrew the air hose the air will leak out because the pin inside the air hose is still pressing against the pin in the valve stem.
